Verdelho's great virtue is its intense fruit flavour - it makes some of the fruitiest white wines in Australia. Peel's Verdelho is dry, even though its rich fruitiness can sometimes make it taste quite sweet.
Current Vintage: 2008The pale straw colour leads into a clean varietal nose showing the hints of mango and passionfruit so typical of this great variety. The palate is soft and clean with buckets of tropical fruit flavours in a medium-bodied package. There’s a touch of classic Peel chalkiness which rounds up the back palate a treat and leads to a quite dry finish.
